What is a hard bounce?
A hard bounce is where there is a permanent issue with the email
address you are trying to send to.
There are a number of reasons for a hard bounce including
Smart Messenger automatically removes hard bounces from your
contact lists and places them in your suppression list. This means
that you don't email them again and you also have a record of all
of your hard bounces.
Your email campaign report in Smart Messenger gives
you details of all of your bounces so you may wish to contact
people to see if you can obtain a new / correct email address
for them so they do not miss out on your email campaigns.

campaign basis by downloading the bounce report or your can do this
periodically by downloading your suppression list.

on which emails are bouncing as if the bounce happens due to a typo
a customer could be missing out on your communications! A quick
phone call to check their email address can get your
messages in front of them.
